What's a “cab” you might ask?

In the metalsmithing biz a cab refers to a cabochon - or a round polished stone often used in jewelry making. Now that we have that covered, let's talk about this poster we put together.

Hosted by Alloy Metalsmithing Community, this event was all about connecting over one shared passion - cabochons. People came for the stones, stayed for the coffee, and left with new friends who shared the mutual appreciation of making beautiful things.

We designed the poster to perfectly encapsulate that funky energy. Hand-drawn typography and a punchy color palette contributed to an end result that felt welcoming to newcomers and rock veterans alike.

As lovers of niche hobbies ourselves, we were honored to put together something so fun for another creative community. All hail the cabochon.
