Oleo Coffee Brand Extension + Collateral
Oleo Coffee Company had a strong, recognizable logo and a beloved local presence. They wanted to expand their brand personality and refresh their in-store experience to improve key customer touchpoints.
We developed two key brand extensions: Ollie, a snail mascot who carries the Oleo "O" as his shell and embodies the cafe's "go slow" philosophy, and a comprehensive menu redesign with retro diner aesthetics and copy written by the owner.
Ollie appears across social graphics, stickers, and pins, bringing warmth and character to customer touchpoints. The menu system features custom illustrations and an Americana color palette that complements the shop's charm while improving readability.
The result was a cohesive brand extension that gives customers more ways to connect with Oleo and reinforces the cafe's distinctive personality throughout Kansas City's coffee scene. People now proudly carry Ollie with them both digitally and physically. Photos of him and the new menu are now commonplace on Oleo’s social pages.
