Betty Rae’s Ice Cream is a Kansas City staple: quirky, playful, and loved by its community. They wanted shirts that weren’t just merch, but pieces people would be excited to wear, the kind of designs that carry the Betty Rae’s spirit outside the shop.

We created a small collection of tees that each show a different side of the brand. One is bold and graphic with oversized type, another takes a retro-inspired approach with a hand-drawn waffle cone, while the last adds a bit of whimsy with a smiling flower sprouting from a pint container. Together they feel fun, approachable, and a very nostalgic. Just like Betty Rae’s is supposed to feel.

These designs became a way for fans to show off their favorite ice cream shop while connecting with the brand’s personality in everyday life. All 1,300 pieces sold out within the year, proof that these designs weren’t just merch, but a meaningful extension of the Betty Rae’s experience.
